Still Pond Farm is located in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Stanardsville, Virginia. Designed by the famous landscape architects Wolfgang Oehme and James van Sweden, the farm and its paddocks are built to harmonize with nature while wooded horse trails frame the circumference of the property.
Four large paddocks with stunning mountain vistas grace the farm each filled with lush grass - a mix of timothy and orchard grass, and clover. Paddocks include automatic waterers and spacious run-in sheds, and are outlined by trees providing a cool canopy of shade in the hot Virginia summer days.
Modern stables include 12'x15' and 12'x12' stalls, automatic waterers, a heated tack room, hot/cold indoor wash bay, and an outdoor wash bay. An outdoor ring is accessible for training and lessons.
All boarders have access to miles of well-maintained trails for leisure riding and exploring on horseback. Built to exercise your horse or for a light stroll, our trails vary in length and terrain. Creeks, pastures, meadows, ponds, and the Blue Ridge Mountains are a few of the sites to experience while riding our trails.
Our mission at Still Pond Farm is to provide a fun, relaxing, and safe atmosphere for our boarders and their horses. Ideal for horses of all ages, we welcome you to our farm, and promise to treat your horse like family.
